Hey everyone. So I have some exciting news about this blog post! Cue the drumroll... This is my first ever collab on my blog. Yes, you read it right. This blog post is a collab with the wonderful Tabby from @itstabbysblog on Instagram. Be sure to check out her blog lushlifestyles.wordpress.com/. She's writing about a morning/night routine for busy teens to minimise stress.

In a world where stress is prevalent in our daily lives, it is super important to take care of ourselves. Being a teen is pretty hard in this day and age. I'd say that teens experience a lot more stress compared to their parent's generation. Here are some self-care ideas that are perfect for busy teens as it doesn't take much time to do.
1. Go on a walk
There's just something about going for a walk at a local park or around your neighbourhood that makes you feel really relaxed and at peace. It's such a simple thing to do and it just allows you to take a moment to appreciate nature and your surroundings. For me, I like to walk to my local park while listening to a podcast.
2. Have a dance party by yourself
I haven't done this too many times but after each dance party, I just feel really pumped up and happy. This is perfect especially if you love music.
3. Listen to a "Sleepcast" on headspace
Headspace is an app that has guided meditation and something called "Sleepcast", which is just a guided mediation you listen to before you go to sleep. It's really relaxing and doesn't take that long to complete.
4. Hang out with friends and family
Sometimes when we get caught up with school assessments, work and extracurricular activities we turn down spending quality time with friends and family. It's super important to surround yourself with good people and also make time to talk to them! If you are going through a stressful time you know that you can reach out and lean on them.
5. Take a hot shower or a bath
Personally, I love taking a hot shower because I can play music as loud as I want and sing in the shower without other people judging my singing. I don't know why but taking a hot shower clears my mind.
6. Reach out to someone if you are feeling down
If you are feeling down, don't hesitate to call a friend, talk to your parents and siblings or even reach out to a professional. People are there to support you and they care about you. You might be afraid to let people know what's going on but trust me, you will feel so much better when you tell someone about what's been on your mind.I hope that you could take something with you from this blog post. Remember to do something nice for yourself.
